Hello Internet! It is I Cade and I'm back after a very long hiatus. I sincerely apologize for my absence, but I am back and ready to chug out as much content as I can. To start us back I have put together a list of movies that I believe are essential for each and every person alive to view. These are movies that have impacted the person I am today, and movies that are truly jaw dropping and awe inspiring. Flawless and remarkable, lets begin this journey into these 10 movies that are absolute must sees. I hope you enjoy and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the love and support.
Sincerely,
Cade McCarley

10. Whiplash
The first movie on the list is also the most recent. Whiplash is psychological thrill ride of wits. It is incredibly bold, and fierce to the absolute core. This movies fast paced editing, extremely clever and darkly funny script, and absolutely terrifying and brutal performance by J.K Simmons make it stand out from other recent films. This is a film that shows better than any other the true chase for ones ultimate dream and is what makes it a film that one you can not miss.

9. The Silence OF The Lambs
Thrillers do not get better than The Silence of The Lambs. Unsettling, creepy, and above all outstanding, The Silence of the Lambs is the type of movie that make you smile while being extremely afraid. The recipient of all five major Oscars, this is a movie that unanimously considered to be one of the greatest of all time. And above it all, with only fourteen minutes of screen time, Anthony Hopkins gives the best performance of all time(per my opinion) as Dr. Hannibal Lecter. He is downright perfection. This performance alone could stand as why this film is a must view.

8. Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Raiders of The Lost Ark. This movie was one of the first movies I remember sitting down and watching with my dad. I have him to thank for putting me in front of that T.V Screen to watch this absolute classic. Still to this day my favorite movie hero of all time remains the incredibly cool, sarcastic, smart, yet undeniable flawed archaeologist Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones Jr. Hes a hero that kids inspire to be while at the heart being only just a man. While I love all of the original three Indy movies there is a special place in my heart for Raiders, and it is the one that has spoken to me the most. Its action is crisp, it's script is humorous, and its overall perfect. Oh and as for it's director, this may not be the last time you see him on this list. ;)

7. The ShawShank Redemption
It's no secret that The Shawshank Redemption is widely regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time. The story of Andy Dufresne as he goes about his life in Shawshank penitentiary meeting other inmates such as Red(Morgan Freemans best role to date) and ultimately beating out all the onstacles in his life is one for that ages. There's so much I can say about this masterpiece but I will keep it simple. Its remarkable.

6. The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight. It is this movie that changed my life forever. This movie is what made me truly admire the art of film making. When I went and saw this movie I went in expecting go watch a fun movie about my favorite superhero of all time. What I got was something so much more. Something that truly changed my life. With a performance from Heath Ledger as my favorite fictional character of all time the Joker that is truly unmatched by none, and absolute perfect direction from on of my favorite directors Christopher Nolan, this movie changed my life and changed the way everyone viewed comic book films. This movie is incredibly influential to not just me but to the entire world. Bottom Line. See it.

5. Jaws
Didn't I say that Steven Spielberg would be back on this list? In the movie that made him what he is today Spielberg delivers one of the most thrilling adventures of all time in cinema and is still unrivaled to this day in suspense. With an absolutely gripping and haunting score by the masterful John Williams, Spielberg was able to keep audiences glued to their seats with the horror of the unknown. Facing many production issues, Jaws shows that there is nothing that can stop a group of people from working hard and delivering a masterpiece.

4. Saving Private Ryan
Mr. Spielberg is not done on this list. Saving Private Ryan is the greatest war movie of all time. Its haunting, chilling, and heartbreaking. But it's also amazing. Saving Private Ryan, like no other movie, shows the horrors of war. In what is my opinion the greatest shot scene in the history of cinema, the first 20 minutes of this movie will leave a mark on you that will forever be branded into your mind. It will make you gasp, it will make you sad, and will even make you terrified. But it will also make you proud to be an American by showing the resilience of the American way. It will make you thank the many men and women that have served and died for our amazing country. This movie is as real as it gets as far as cinema is concerned. And that's what makes Saving Private Ryan a must watch.

3. Jurassic PArk
For the fourth time on this list, Steven Spielberg makes a return. Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of his and many people ask me why. Well to me the answer is simple. No other movie to me is able to capture the sense of astonishment quite like Jurassic Park does. The visual effects of this movie are still to this day some of the greatest ever put to film. This movie is film making at the masterful level and it never fails to put a smile on my face every single time I see it. Mr. Spielberg, you truly are a legend.

2. Star Wars The original Trilogy
Is there anything more for me to say about Star Wars that hasn't already been said? It's Star Wars. Go Watch it.

1. The Lord of the Rings
The Lord of the Rings. My favorite movie of all time based on my favorite books all time written by my favorite author of all time. Yes, I will admit, I am bias towards anything Tolkien. I consider The Lord of the Rings to be the greatest accomplishment in the history of cinema. This was perhaps the most massive feat ever taken on by a group of film makers, with not only studio corporations watching their every move, but an entire world of loyal Tolkien fans ready to not be disappointed. And despite all this Peter Jackson and his crew of film makers created a masterpiece of three films and when all wrapped into one creates the greatest saga of all time. It's long but every second makes you just love this world more. Friendship, courage, and the strength to do what is right is at the forefront of themes in this masterpiece. I can go on for days and days about how much I adore these movies. But as for now, if you need me I'll be in Middle Earth
